On June 10,
2023, Professor Takuya Soma of the University of Kyoto with his colleagues
visited the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAI).
During the
visit, prospects for joint implementation of international projects related to
intangible cultural heritage were discussed.
Professor
Soma demonstrated a number of significant research works revealing new
approaches in the study of cultural heritage and archaeology.
The guests
from Kyoto University were provided with information about the International
Institute for Central Asian Studies, its historical development and current
projects. During the discussions, the possibilities for deepening cooperation
between IICAS and Kyoto University were considered.
