Visit of the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Samarkand

On 12 February 2024, Mr. Salih Caner, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Samarkand visited the headquarters of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS).
Mr. Caner was informed about the International Institute for Central Asian Studies, its historical development and ongoing projects. During the meeting, numerous issues of cooperation perspectives, including implementation of international projects were discussed.
Mr. Caner stressed the importance of international cooperation in the field of conservation, use and promotion of historical and cultural heritage.
In the course of the conversation, the possibility of increasing the participation of scientists, students and professors of Turkish universities in the projects implemented by IICAS were also discussed.
