The Umrboqiy Meros Center for the Propagation of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Bukhara State University and in partnership with the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), announces the holding of an international scientific and practical conference "Harmony of tangible and intangible cultural heritage", dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage heritage and the 50th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

The conference is aimed to identify the challenges associated with integration approaches in the implementation of UNESCO conventions and the role of public organizations in projects for the protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. It is noteworthy that the conference is being organized on the eve of the opening of the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee scheduled to be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from September 10 to 25, 2023.

Date of the conference: September 9, 2023 Venue: Bukhara State University. The conference is held in the hybrid format (online and offline). The conference working languages are Uzbek, Russian, and English.

The deadline to submit an application prepared in accordance with a pre-designed template is August 20, 2023.
