Another activity has been successfully completed by the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) to advance the “Traditional Bukharian Jewish Houses and Mahallas” project run jointly by IICAS and the Bukhara State University under the supervision of Dr. Ona Vileikis and with financial support of the World Monuments Fund (WMF). 

During the field mission of September-October 2021, which aimed at creating high-quality digital documentation package using latest technologies and equipment, like terrestrial laser scanners, electronic tachymeters, etc., three traditional Bukharian Jewish houses were surveyed. Further surveys are anticipated to be made during the 2022 summer field season.
