The International Institute for Central Asian
Studies (IICAS) is pleased to inform that Cultural Heritage Protection
Cooperation Office, Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU Nara) has
announced the 23rd annual group training course for young professionals
involved in the cultural heritage preservation and conservation field in the
Asia-Pacific region. This time the training will be dedicated to the issues of
conservation and management of wooden built heritage.
The training aims at expanding the
participants’ expertise in sustainable conservation and management of built
heritage in Asia-Pacific region and establishing a communication platform for
further exchange of knowledge and know-how.
The training is scheduled to be held in English
online between 1 and 30 September 2022. The number of participants is limited
to 15, but the candidates from 42 Member States to the 1972 UNESCO World
Heritage Convention in the Asia and Pacific region are encouraged to apply.
Application deadline is 19 June 2022. Further
