The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) in cooperation with A.R.S. Progetti S.P.A., a consulting company from Italy continues the implementation of the Design and Supervision of Beautification and General Improvement of Three Historical, Natural and Cultural Objects in the Khatlon Region of Tajikistan project.

Since September 2022, the project has moved into a practical phase: construction and installation behind landscape improvement is being carried out by contracting organizations at all three sites, namely at Khoja Mashhad, Khulbuk fortress and Chiluchor Chashma (44 springs). IICAS author supervision specialists continue monitoring the compliance of the work being carried out with the adopted design solutions.

We would like to remind that within Phase I, which was launched in December 2020, IICAS and A.R.S. Progetti S.P.A. developed a sustainable management plan, and prepared conceptual proposals along with a complete set of detailed design documents.
