Transfer of books to the Afrasiyab Museum

In August 2022 within the scope of activities
of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) and following
the mission of spreading the knowledge on cultural heritage, as well as
strengthening the cooperation, a set of periodicals and academic publications
have been transferred to the Afrasiab Museum of the History of Samarkand. The
library fund of the museum was replenished with books on architecture,
archeology, history, and tourism. The Afrasiab Museum is dedicated to the
history of the city of Samarkand and its environs, provides connection between
eras, integrating the past into the present and ensuring that the memory of
cultural heritage is preserved through the generations.
In a friendly atmosphere, the representative of
the museum warmly thanked the Institute for its contribution to the common
cause, expressing hope for further cooperation.
