The seminar was attended by almost 30 specialists from research institutions and museums across Central Asian countries. The workshop was aimed to create a regional collaboration network, a platform to prepare a prospective nomination for the international UNESCO “Memory of the World” Register, to highlight issues related to the nomination, and to exchange expert opinions.
Within the framework of the seminar, moderated by the leading specialist of IICAS Alim Feyzulayev, a series of reports were offered by Professor M. Iskhakov (Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies), Dr. P. Lurie (State Hermitage, St. Petersburg), Dr. A. Begmatov (Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities), Professor Sh. Kamoliddin (Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies) and A. Ikramov (IICAS). Professor A. Sattorzoda and B. Bobomulloev also made short presentations.
