Second meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Silk Road ICH Network was held on 26 May 2021. The event was attended by the experts of the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP), the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), Korea Foundation – Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat, the European Association of Folklore Festivals, Azerbaijan National Conservatoire, and National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO. The agenda of the second meeting consisted of seven items: (1) schedule of meetings of the preparatory committee; (2) network’s mission statement and governance; (3) network membership; (4) membership fees; (5) draft application form for network membership; (6) venue and date of inaugural event; (7) integration of network to ichLINKS platform. Preparatory Committee examined and approved all draft documents. During discussion a new title for the project has been proposed as Silk Road Living Heritage Network. Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat proposed to organize inauguration event of the Silk Road Living Heritage Network during Korea Foundation Public Diplomacy Week in Seoul in 28-30 October 2021. According to the approved schedule, the third meeting will be held on 23 June 2021.
