The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) is pleased to announce that an international conference History, cultural heritage and tourism opportunities of the Silk Road peoples (past and present) will be held on May 10-12, 2023 at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Samarkand.

The conference will be focused on the global significance and history of the Silk Road, its continuity and role in maintaining social, economic and political interactions, sustainable tourism and heritage. The event will be held in the hybrid format with an opportunity to have the conference paper published in The Journal of Silk Road Tourism Studies.
