The fifth, final, online meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Silk Roads Living Heritage Network was held on 15 September 2021. Representatives from following organizations attended the meeting: International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP), UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty, UNESCO Tashkent Office, Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat under the Korea Foundation, International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS), European Association of Folklore Festivals, National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO, Azerbaijan National Conservatoire, Eurasia Turk Institute of Dongduk University, Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. Preparatory Committee examined two documents: Draft Statute of the Silk Roads Living Heritage Network and Draft Programme of the Silk Roads Living Heritage Forum. It is expected that the draft Statute with several amendments of the Preparatory Committee will be subject for approval of the Coordinating Bureau of the Network during its first meeting on 29 October 2021. Preparatory Committee adopted draft programme of the Forum, first day of which (28 October) will be devoted to the inauguration ceremony of the network and keynote presentations from Member States and international/regional organizations.
