The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) is pleased to announce the Fifth International Congress on the Archaeology of the Eurasian Steppes "Eurasian Steppe Civilization: Man and Historical and Cultural Environment".

Organizers of the event are:

- International University of Tourism and Hospitality (Turkestan, Kazakhstan);

- Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology of the Peoples of the Far-East, Far-Eastern Branch of Russia Academy of Sciences (Vladivostok, Russian Federation);

- Altai State University (Barnaul, Russian Federation);

- National Archaeological Institute with Museum(Sofia, Bulgaria);

- Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences;

- The Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences(Moscow, Russian Federation);

- Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences(Ulan-Ude, Russian Federation);

-Hungarian National Gallery(Budepest, Hungary).

The work of the congress will be carried out in the following thematic areas:

1.  Cultural and historic processes in the Eurasian steppes in the Early Metal Age: traditions and innovations;

2.  Early nomads of Eurasia: the phenomenon of nomadic civilization;

3.  Eurasia in the Middle Ages: formation, development and transformation of cultures, ideas and technologies;

4.  Spiritual world of Eurasian peoples according to archaeological and written sources: art and worldview;

5.  Interdisciplinary research in archaeology: theory, methods and methodology;

6.  Actual problems of preservation and use of archeological heritage of Eurasia;

7.  History of study of archeological heritage of Eurasia.

Date of the Congress: October 14, 2022.

Languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.

Format of participation: full-time and correspondence.
