MoU has been signed between the IICAS and Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) and Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata represented by the Chairman of the Board, Acting Rector B. S. Karimova. The Parties agreed that the prospective cooperation will focus on cultural, social, historic, archaeological, geographic literature and linguistic studies as well as on the Silk Road studies with emphasis on the Central Asia and the Member States of IICAS.

The scope of cooperation under the MoU includes mutual visits of faculty members, cooperation in the framework of research projects, arrangement of joint academic seminars, conferences, workshops and similar events, also in the online mode. Besides, both institutions agreed to share academic data and publications, as well as cooperate in other areas of mutual interest. Prospective joint research projects carried out on a collaborative basis are expected to ensure dissemination of the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of science and culture. 

The MoU has become the first step in building a long-term and fruitful cooperation between the institutions aimed to explore further research opportunities.
