Over the 23 years of its existence, the Institute has issued more than 60 scientific publications that have become the result of the scientific and research activities of the Institute. In addition, IICAS has been publishing the journal IICAS for more than 10 years. The journal is published twice a year in Russian and English, and is on the list of the Higher Attestation Commission of Uzbekistan. All publications of the Institute are distributed free of charge and are available to everyone. IICAS, independently or in cooperation with UNESCO, organizes international scientific conferences in which dozens of leading scientists from Central Asia and the world have already taken part. Many of the IICAS publications are bilingual and are prepared in English and Russian.

The 36th edition of the Bulletin of the ICOMOS International Conservation Center-Xi’an (IICC-X) is dedicated to transnational serial nominations of the Silk Road corridors to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The publication discusses the progress related to the study of objects of the Zarafshan-Karakum, Volga-Caspian corridors of the Silk Road and the preparation of nomination files. The matters related to cultural heritage preservation and management of Central Asia and China are briefly covered. The Newsletter is a periodical of the ICOMOS International Conservation Center-Xi’an (IICC-X) and is addressed to specialists in the field of cultural heritage, history, geography and ethnography, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the history and culture of the countries of the Great Silk Road.

Integral Study Of The Silk Roads: Roads Of Dialogue

In 1988 UNESCO launched a ten-year project entitled 'Integral Study of the Silk Roads: Roads of Dialogue'. As part of the project, several expeditions were organized to retrace, by land and by sea, some of these routes, with the participation of experts from all the countries involved. The purpose of the project, which uses a multidisciplinary approach, was to carry out field studies of the scientific, technological and cultural exchanges which took place between the East and the West along these routes with a view to stimulating further research at the international and national levels and promoting the concept of multiple identities and a common heritage.
