The 3rd International Conference on Mosque Architecture Mosque: Building Crosses Culture is scheduled to be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6-9 September, 2021.

The event is being arranged by arranged by Abdullatif Alfozan Award for Mosque Architecture in cooperation with the University of Sarajevo, the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) and a number of other institutions and is primarily targeted at architects, designers, artists, craftspeople, sociologists, and anthropologists, researchers, and historians with strong focus on mosque architecture.

Having Mosque: Building Crosses Culture as a main topic, the Conference also covers the following sub-topics, including culture's blend in Mosque Architecture, Compatibility of Mosque architecture with urban tissues worldwide, the impact of mosque architecture on the cultural and social environment in the world, and mosque: multiple construction techniques and functions.

Research submissions will be selected based on the criterion of the in-depth knowledge of the topic. Participants are encouraged to make presentations on a range of subjects addressing among others architecture, interior design, craftmanship, and urban sociology of mosques.

Abstracts shall not exceed the limit of 300-350 words (Times New Roman, font size 14), no references or diagrams are needed. The full papers shall not be longer than 7,500 words and are expected to be proofread prior to submission. The Abstracts shall be submitted by Monday, 30 November, 2020 at the latest, whereas the final papers will be collected by Friday, 9 April, 2021.
