IICAS continues working actively on the implementation of two-year budget projects for 2020–2021, unanimously recommended by the members of the Academic Council at the 22nd session held on February 12, 2020 in Switzerland and approved at the 14th session of the General Assembly of IICAS on March 10, 2020 in Tashkent.
One of the projects of particular scientific interest is the publication of Lyudmila Vladimirovna Dubrovskaya, dedicated to the generalization of more than 30 years of experience in research and conservation of historical and cultural monuments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The publication, preparing for release in 2020, will offer readers an overview of the main restoration and conservation work performed by staff of the Research and Experimental Laboratory (NIEL), established in 1980 as part of the “Kazproektrestavratsiya” Institute, who have accumulated significant practical experience dealing with historic structural materials. In addition, the monograph contains materials from surveys of monuments of archeology and architecture.
