During the training, specialists and participants took pictures from the ground as well as aerial photographs of the Bonbogli Mosque in the historic city of Ichan-Kala.

Training for the assessment of the state of conservation of historical buildings was held from 26 to 27 February 2020 in the historical city of Ichan-Kala, Khiva, Khorezm Region, Uzbekistan and was organized by the specialists of UCL, IICAS and UNESCO office in Uzbekistan in the framework of CAAL (Archaeological Landscapes of Central Asia) project. Specialists from the Mamun Academy, Madaniy Meros LITI and students of the Urgench University attended unique lectures of specialists in the field of documenting the cultural heritage and also received some practical skills.
During the training, specialists and participants took pictures from the ground as well as aerial photographs of the Bonbogli Mosque in the historic city of Ichan-Kala. In the course of the training, as well as during the lectures, the participants were introduced to the detailed description of the applied techniques, variations in settings, methods, principles and difficulties of surveying.
Then the participants of the training were introduced to all stages of documentation process from the selection of survey method and correct cataloguing of the initial data to the construction of 3D-models, rendering orthophoto images and processing in the geoinformation systems.
