On November 21, 2019, a seminar was held in the building of the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office to summarize the results of the project implemented by an expert team with the participation of specialists of the IICAS.

On November 21, 2019, a seminar was held in the building of the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office to summarize the results of the project implemented by an expert team with the participation of specialists of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) and aimed to develop a remote monitoring methodology for the components of the Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor serial transnational nomination. The event was attended by representatives of organizations, government departments and ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, responsible for the conservation and management of serial nomination components.
The program of the event included not only a presentation of the methodology developed within the framework of the project, but also reports and presentations on the conservation of archaeological sites, coordination with the World Heritage Center, as well as the future of the tentative list of properties considered for nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In addition, an important component of the event was a video conference with the experts of the International Center on Space Technologies for Natural and Cultural Heritage under the auspices of UNESCO (HIST), a UNESCO Category 2 Center. During the video conference, the participants were briefed on the activities of HIST and achievements in the use of remote sensing technologies to preserve and manage the historical and cultural heritage properties.
