The periodic journal "Bulletin of IICAS" has been published by the Institute since 2005. Many researchers have published their articles on history, archaeology, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, ethnography, culture and other disciplines on its pages. During 15 years of its existence, the journal has obtained a certain value.
However, the development of technologies threatens the production of paper periodicals and scientific journals can only survive with the support of their readers; in this case, it is a narrow circle of researchers who use journals as a platform for publishing their articles, which is mandatory for their activities. In view of the current realities, IICAS has temporarily stopped the publication of journals, but only in order to make the necessary internal and external changes.
Today, the Secretariat of IICAS is working on the inclusion of the journal in the largest citation systems, whose indexes are recognized worldwide. The magazine will continue to be produced in two languages and in colour. In the view of the Institute, one of the mandatory solutions is the access of authors and readers to the electronic version as soon as the printed version is issued.
A fundamental change will be the involvement of the chief editor for new issues. This position will be taken by Ruslan Muradov, a cultural and architectural history specialist who has a wide experience in creating interesting and popular journals, including the international annual periodical "Cultural Values", published in 1995-2006 in St. Petersburg, and several scientific collections of articles on the history and culture of Central Asia.
The next 29th issue of the Bulletin of IICAS is expected in summer 2020. We invite are happy to invite authors for cooperation.
